These take in the beautiful islands and stunning sea lochs of Argyll and beyond. With a maximum of 8 guests, this is a highly personalised cruising experience within an idyllic maritime setting.
Owner and Skipper Iain Duncan will welcome you on board the elegant ‘Splendour’. A tastefully converted traditional wooden trawler yacht, which promises the perfect escape.
Onboard Argyll Cruising, the spacious outdoor decks offer the choice of unwinding on the sun loungers, wildlife watching, perhaps a shot at fishing, or choose an invigorating plunge into a secluded bay.


En-Suite Cabins with Argyll Cruising
The Vessel, ‘Splendour’, a beautifully converted Scottish wooden fishing vessel 20 metres in length, accommodating up to eight guests in four private en-suite cabins.
Splendour is extremely seaworthy while at the same time providing very comfortable accommodation for a holiday afloat. With Argyll Cruising, guest sleeping accommodation consists of a 4 private en-suite cabins, a true luxury for a vessel of her size.
Spledour’s Outer Decks
Splendour has been tastefully fitted out using solid and veneered hardwood. The dining deck saloon is perfect for socialising or relaxing with a good book and for enjoying all the wonderful meals cooked by our onboard Chef.
Onboard Argyll Cruising, the roomy wheelhouse is a popular place for guests chatting to the Skipper, spotting wildlife and getting all the local information not found in the guidebooks!
The outdoor decks are spacious, and perfect for enjoying an alfresco drink while watching the scenery drift by. Kayaks, windsurfers and bicycles can all be stored on deck for the active guest, while fishing and laying out lobster pots is also a popular pastime.


Going Ashore
Going ashore by tender is part of the fun, exploring stunning coastlines, traditional villages, ancient woodlands, castles and world famous whisky distilleries. While out on the tender you might offer to help the crew set creels for crab or perhaps lobster, to be served at the next meal.
Argyll Cruising Food and Drink
While on-board Argyll Cruising, breakfast is normally served at anchor at 8.30 am. Over breakfast Skipper Iain will discuss the cruising options for the day. Around an hour after breakfast guests may take a trip ashore or alternatively Splendour will lift anchor and sail off to the next destination.
Lunch is served around 1pm followed again by the option of a trip ashore or cruising off to the next stopover.
At around 7pm guests gather in the deck saloon to exchange stories about the day’s activities and enjoy canapés and a pre-dinner drink. This is followed by a two course dinner and cheeseboard to the setting of beautiful scenery.
The remainder of the evening can be spent in sociable conversation, often to the backdrop of a glorious sunset or the sight of the moon on the water.
At 11pm the generator is shut down for the night and it is time for bed. Perhaps with a last look at a star filled sky before heading off to dream of the next day’s adventures with Argyll Cruising on the Scottish west coast.
Your crew will provide everything you need for an unforgettable cruise adventure. There are two crew members on board each Argyll Cruise; your Skipper Iain and Chef Steve.
